Global Relief and Support Corporation empowers individuals with autism and their families through advocacy, education, community programs, and nature-based initiatives across New York and beyond.
"Our mission is to empower individuals with autism to lead fulfilling lives, while fostering a culture of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion in diverse communities."
— GRSCorp Mission StatementGRS Corp was not founded in a boardroom. It was founded at kitchen tables, in waiting rooms, and through countless conversations between two families navigating the same uncharted path — raising children on the autism spectrum.
When Asad Munir Butt and Mohammed A. Khan each received autism diagnoses for their young sons, they did what parents do: they searched for answers, reached for support, and leaned on each other. What they found was a community hungry for resources, connection, and hope.
"We became the support we wished we had. And then we opened the door for everyone else."
— Asad Munir Butt, Chairman, GRSCorpIn 2021, that personal mission became a formal organization. GRS Corp — Global Relief and Support Corporation — was established as an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit, based in Clifton Park, NY, with a vision that reaches far beyond any single community.
Every program we run comes from listening to families, educators, and individuals on the spectrum — and responding with purpose.
Championing autism rights at local, state, and national levels. We show up at school board meetings, legislative hearings, and community forums so families don't have to fight alone.
Providing resources, workshops, and training to boost understanding and acceptance of autism — for families, educators, employers, and the broader community.
Connecting families with the vital resources, networks, and organizations they need — so no parent has to figure it out alone.
Our 101-acre nature preserve in Duanesburg, NY is being developed into therapeutic outdoor spaces, sensory trails, and inclusive recreational areas for individuals with autism.
Partnering with school districts to establish SEPTA chapters, facilitate educator workshops, and create more supportive learning environments for students on the spectrum.
Hosting events, building networks, and creating spaces where families, individuals, and advocates come together with a sense of shared purpose.
These are the flagship projects driving GRSCorp's mission forward right now.
Acquired December 2023 through a generous anonymous donation, this 101-acre parcel in Schenectady County is being transformed into an inclusive nature trail and therapeutic outdoor space designed specifically for individuals with autism and their families.
GRSCorp is actively working to establish and support Special Education Parent Teacher Association chapters across the Capital Region, giving parents a formal voice in their children's education.
Interactive awareness sessions delivered to individuals, groups, schools, and organizations across New York, with certificate programs available for housing and charity sector professionals.
Building a network of local, state, and national affiliate organizations to ensure families in every community have access to the support they need — not just in the Capital Region, but across the country.
Led by parents, advocates, and professionals who understand autism from the inside out.
